Chia and Lemon to help with weight loss and as a cleanse to?? Does it really work? Let’s give it a try?

Even under optimal conditions losing weight can often be very difficult and should be done over longer periods of time in order to maintain the weight loss.

There are only four ingredients that you’ll need to get to make this drink, and the chances are you already have them in your home.

**Chia seeds have more Omega-3 fatty acids than any other plant food, including flax seeds. **Chia seeds are about 20% protein. **When soaked in water for 30 minutes, chia seeds form a thick gel. **Chia seeds are so high in antioxidants

Chia seeds found in this cleanse are well-known for their positive effects on one’s health. They are considered to be one of the most nutrient rich foods on the planet. They are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, rich in antioxidants and they provide a ton of fibre, iron and calcium all of which support our metabolism and digestive system. When mixed with water, chia seeds form a gelatin like mixture and based on the fact that they are very high in fibre they will help people feel full for longer.

Another ingredient in this cleanse is lemon juice. I love both fresh and concentrated lemon juice.. Well, because it not only tastes great but because it is a very rich source of vitamin C, which supports our immune system’s ability to fight and prevent disease. Lemon juice reportedly supports weight loss but it is supposed to improve skin quality as well.

Honey is another ingredient in this cleanse. Again this is a wonderful tasting ingredient that I use in so many things but its reported health benefits are great. Honey reportedly energizes the body, boosts immunity, fights bacteria, promotes healing and can be a great remedy for sore throats. It is also reported that honey slows down the aging process of our bodies cells because it is so high in antioxidants.

What will you need for your cleanse??

  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
  • Honey
  • Juice from 1 freshly squeezed lemon
  • 300 ml water

Mixing your cleanse

Put your chia seeds into 100 ml of the water and let the seeds soak up water for about 1 hour. You will notice that the mixture will have a jelly like texture. Next you will want to add the rest of the water and the lemon juice. Stir for about 1 minute until everything is well mixed and then add the honey for sweetness. The amount of honey you add will be based on personal taste.Chia and Lemon

Now try drinking 1 cup of this mixture first thing in the morning (on an empty stomach). Do this for the next 3 days straight and you may find you are not only less hungry but you may end up spending more time in the bathroom as this mixture of ingredients is reported to be a good diuretic.
