Weight Training for Complete Beginners
There is a weight training program that I have recommended from when I first started training and really, it works so well and despite all the “new” programming out there, my Weight Training Program for Complete Beginners has always worked and will continue to work well.
There’s no fancy name….There’s really nothing new or crazy about it. It is a simple yet effective program that will work for beginners and will work for any goal that they may have. My weight training program for complete beginners is THAT program and because I work with a lot of beginners and because this program works, there really is no need to change it.
I do have a number of different programs for intermediate to advanced people and they differ simply because as one becomes more experienced things can be better adjusted to focus more closely on individual goals whether that be weight loss, weight gain, gaining mass or simply leanness and aesthetics.
When we talk about a beginner, I’m talking about:
Someone who has never lifted weights before
Someone who has weight trained but has never maintained a consistent training schedule. I guess you could call them the “on and off” weightlifter or the person who trains only after the new year as part of a “resolution” and then quits after a few months.
Someone who may have trained when they were younger but stopped for whatever reason and later in life would like to get back into the gym.
Are you a beginner? and if so, then my Weight Training for Complete Beginners program is definitely for you. Don’t be fooled by all of those fancy programs offering exercises you’ve never heard of or appear really difficult to master…If you are a beginner, stick with a program that will make you want to continue….one that is not overwhelming and difficult to follow.
My beginner program will always follow these guidelines:
- Training needs to be 3 times a week with “active” rest days in between
- Program will be a full body split
- Focused on compound exercises which will work more than just one body part
- The goal of the beginner program is to teach you how to lift weights with a focus on technique and as you get better you will in turn begin moving towards individual health and fitness goals such as weight loss, weight gain, gaining mass or simply leanness and aesthetics.
This e-book will be completely FREE because I believe that in order to introduce other beginner programs, the intermediate and advanced programs potential clients need the assistance in getting started.
